Maintenance

Small checks. A better plan.

Know your system. Keep a record. Plan service before you need a rushed repair.

Your questions, answered
How often should equipment be serviced?

Use the maker’s service plan and ask your pro what your system needs. Heating and cooling checks often follow the seasons. Heavy use may need more care.

What can I safely check?

Read the thermostat, check an easy-to-reach filter, and keep indoor vents clear. Follow the maker’s guide. Leave wires, fuel lines, refrigerant, and inside repairs to a trained pro.

What can my home’s age tell me?

Age can help you ask about old ducts, insulation, past updates, and service records. It does not tell you the age of the AC, prove damage, or mean you need a new system.

Your next three steps

1Record the system model and age.

2Follow the maker’s filter and service guide.

3Set aside money for future repairs.
